About Changchun Film Studio Former Site Museum
The old Changchun Film Studio complex, whose first buildings date from the 1930s Manchukuo Film Association; from 1945 it was the studio that state media call the cradle of new China's cinema. It is now a museum in the restored studio buildings, showing film props, scripts and reconstructed sets, the Third Studio, one of the earliest special-effects stages still standing, and a film-processing workshop kept as an exhibit. Costumed performers stage short film-themed scenes in the buildings.
