About Mother of Grace Cathedral, Daming

A Gothic-style Catholic church built by French missionaries between 1918 and 1921 and still the cathedral of the Diocese of Daming, so it remains a place of worship rather than a museum. The cruciform building has a tower with a four-faced clock, an arched interior carried on fourteen stone columns, over a hundred coloured-glass windows and a large organ at the north end. It stands on East Street inside the old walled town, so it can be combined with a walk round the ancient city.

How to get to Mother of Grace Cathedral, Daming

On East Street inside Daming's walled town, about 0.7 km south-south-east of the north gate and about 69 km east-south-east of central Handan; as a working cathedral it may restrict entry during services.
