About Yaogang Headquarters of the Yangtze River Crossing Campaign

A group of late-Qing courtyard houses in Yaogang, Feidong County, where the Communist General Front Committee under Deng Xiaoping and Chen Yi directed the Yangtze River Crossing Campaign in April 1949 before moving to Nanjing at the end of the month. Five restored buildings, including the committee's headquarters, secretariat and staff office and the office of the East China Bureau, show the leaders' rooms and campaign material, and a memorial museum stands alongside.
