About Zhifang Yuhuang Pavilion
A Ming-period brick pavilion named for the Jade Emperor, standing in West Zhifang village on the north bank of the Fuyang River and also called the Beamless Pavilion because its brick structure has no timber beams. A repair tablet beneath it indicates that it was first built in the Longqing or Wanli reigns (1567–1620) and rebuilt in 1896. It is about 450 m from the southern Xiangtangshan caves, so the two are easily combined.
