About Zhaohui Pagoda
Also called Gaoling Pagoda, this octagonal brick pagoda of 13 storeys with close-set eaves stands in Zhaohui Square in Gaoling and takes its name from the vanished Tang monastery of Zhaohui. Its building date is not recorded, but the written sources and its structure point to the middle Tang. The pagoda is hollow, with a brick stair inside and arched openings in each storey.
