About Jiangcun Village
Jiangcun is a village of the Jiang clan in Baidi town, Jingde County, founded in the Sui–Tang period and at its height in the Qing, and listed as a national historic and cultural village in 2005. Its surviving Ming and Qing buildings include the Jiang ancestral hall, a filial-piety shrine, the Father-and-Son Jinshi memorial archway, several family halls and an old street, as well as the former homes of the mathematician Jiang Zehan and of Jiang Dongxiu, the wife of the scholar Hu Shi.
