About Jiqing Hall, Shefeng

A branch ancestral hall in Shefeng village, Yongchang subdistrict, Lanxi, probably founded in the Southern Song; the present building dates from the late Ming and was repaired in the Kangxi and Qianlong eras. It faces east, is four halls deep and flanked by two Qing memorial arches to chaste widows, and is noted for its fine carving and good state, despite years of use as a rice mill.
