About Heijing Old Town

Heijing, on the Longchuan River, grew rich on its salt wells and was at its most prosperous in the Ming and Qing dynasties. The town keeps much of its Ming–Qing layout, with the Dalong Shrine, a Confucian temple, an old opera stage, the Wu family mansion, the Wuma Bridge across the river and a salt-mining museum. It is listed as a national historic and cultural town.
