About Chen Taiwei Palace

A village temple at Qianxi in Zhongfang town that began in 909 as the ancestral hall of Chen Su, who had come to Fujian with Wang Shenzhi's army, and later became a shrine to him and to a descendant honoured for fighting the Mongols. The main hall, built without iron nails, has dense bracket sets rising to a square coffered ceiling and is counted with Fuzhou's Hualin Temple among Fujian's three great Song-era timber buildings. A Ming-dynasty gateway and opera stage stand in front.
