About Travessa da Paixão
A short pedestrian lane laid out in the 1920s beside the Ruins of St Paul's and named Travessa da Paixão in 1925. The Portuguese name implies passionate feeling and religious devotion, while the Chinese name, Love Lane, gives the lane a romantic reputation that has made it a favourite spot for wedding photographs and a location for films and television series. The matching houses at numbers 5 to 11 are decorated in red and pale yellow, and the neoclassical and modernist house at number 13 holds Cinematheque Passion.
How to get to Travessa da Paixão
Beside the Ruins of St Paul's, a short walk from Senado Square.
