About Shrine of the Medical Sage (Zhang Zhongjing Tomb)

The tomb and memorial shrine of Zhang Zhongjing, the Eastern Han physician revered in China as the 'Medical Sage' and author of the Treatise on Cold Damage and Miscellaneous Diseases. Most of what stands today was rebuilt after the shrine was wrecked in the Cultural Revolution: a Han-style gate with paired towers, the tomb, halls with statues of famous Chinese doctors and the Zhang Zhongjing Museum of traditional medicine.
