About Yaji Mountain
A hill in Liujiadian town named after its two rocky summits, which resemble a girl's twin hair buns, and long a Taoist pilgrimage site whose temple fairs drew crowds from the capital and visits from Qing emperors. Its temple buildings were restored or rebuilt from the 2000s, and a stepped path climbs past steles and halls to the Bixia Yuanjun shrine and the Jade Emperor Pavilion on the two peaks.
