About Beida Mosque

One of the largest and best-preserved historic mosque complexes in Henan, rebuilt in 1580 and enlarged under the Qing in Chinese palace style, facing east in three courtyards. Behind a gate hall roofed in peacock-blue tiles, a reception hall, two prayer halls and a vaulted rear chamber are joined under linked roofs crowded with more than 70 glazed ridge beasts, and over ten Ming and Qing steles survive.
