About Lingshan Islamic Cemetery
Two tombs on the southern slope of Ling Hill, revered by Chinese Muslims as the graves of two early missionaries whom Ming sources say came to Quanzhou in the Tang dynasty, lie under a stone pavilion rebuilt in 1962. In the stone gallery behind are an Arabic inscription of 1322 and a stele recording that the admiral Zheng He came to burn incense here in 1417 before one of his voyages. It is one of the components of the Quanzhou World Heritage site.
