About Holy Trinity Church

A red-brick Gothic Revival church on Jiujiang Road, designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott and consecrated in 1869, which served Shanghai's English-speaking Anglicans and was known locally as the Red Church. After decades of other uses, including as a cinema during the Cultural Revolution, it was restored and reopened for worship in December 2022 as a church of China's national Protestant bodies.
