About Longhua Pagoda

An octagonal seven-storey brick-and-wood pagoda whose main structure was built in 977 under the Wuyue king Qian Chu, in the early Northern Song, standing across Longhua Road from Longhua Temple. Later additions were removed in the 1950s and the pagoda was restored to its Song form; it is not open to climb, and is usually seen together with a visit to the temple.
