About Shenyang Station and Former Mukden Railway Buildings
Shenyang's main railway station still uses the red-brick east building that the South Manchuria Railway opened in 1910 as Mukden Station, with white mouldings and three green metal domes, designed by two pupils of the Japanese architect Tatsuno Kingo. It is part of the national listing for the Chinese Eastern Railway buildings, which also covers the former Fengtian Railway Office of 1911 (now a hotel near the station) and the former South Manchuria Railway headquarters buildings on Taiyuan North Street, now offices that are best seen from the street.
