About Sheqi Shan-Shaan Guild Hall

A guild hall and temple to Guan Yu built over 136 years, from 1756 to 1892, by merchants from Shanxi and Shaanxi trading in the town of Shedian. Its glazed-tile screen wall, the Xuanjian opera tower, a stone archway and the great worship hall are covered in fine wood, brick and stone carving. The scenic area also takes in other sights of Shedian old town, among them a fire-god temple, an old escort agency and a Qing tax office.
