About Chongfu Temple, Shuozhou
A large Buddhist monastery in the middle of Shuozhou, founded in the Tang dynasty and best known for its two Jin-dynasty halls, the Mituo Hall of 1143 and the Guanyin Hall. The Mituo Hall keeps its Jin glazed roof tiles and wall paintings, and the other halls line the central axis, from the entrance hall and the bell and drum towers through the Thousand Buddha Pavilion to the main hall. Visitor numbers rose after the 2024 video game Black Myth: Wukong brought attention to the monastery.
