About Mountain Villa with Embracing Beauty

A very small garden on Jingde Road almost entirely taken up by an artificial mountain of Taihu rock, built in 1807 by the rockery master Ge Yuliang, with a winding path through it and a pool around its foot. The rockery is often ranked the finest of its kind in Suzhou, and the site was once the home of the Ming grand secretary Shen Shixing; the garden took its present name in 1847. It is part of the Classical Gardens of Suzhou World Heritage Site.
