About Tashan Neolithic Site

A hillside settlement and cemetery in Xiangshan's county town, occupied from about 4000 to 500 BC, where excavations in 1990, 1993 and 2007–2008 found more than 60 Neolithic burials with pottery and jade. The finds show the Hemudu and Majiabang cultures meeting on the Xiangshan coast. The site itself is covered by a public park, and artefacts from it are displayed in the Xiangshan County Museum in the same town.
