About Tianfeng Mountain Taoist Temples

A large group of Taoist halls on the summit of Tianfeng Mountain in Pupeng, eastern Xiangyun County, and an important centre of the Zhengyi school of Taoism in western Yunnan. First built in the late Ming and rebuilt and extended many times since, the halls step up the mountainside and are decorated with stone and wood carving and painting in a distinctive local Yi style.
