About Jing Ancient City
The walled town of Jing, the first capital of the state of Zheng after its move east and the fief of Duan, the rebellious brother of Duke Zhuang of Zheng in a famous episode of the Zuo Zhuan chronicle. About eight stretches of its rammed-earth walls, more than 1 km in all and 3–10 m high with clearly visible tamping layers, survive within the Jingxiangcheng Site Ecological Park, opened in 2008.
