About Kaishan Temple, Yingjing
A Buddhist temple in Yingjing county town, now home to the county museum, whose main hall, built in the Chenghua reign of the Ming in the late 15th century, is one of the few Ming timber buildings left in Sichuan. Some of the hall's bracket timbers are carved as elephants and dragons, and traces of Ming painted decoration survive on its beams. It can be combined with the Yandao ancient city site on the western edge of town.
