About Huaibei

Huaibei is a coal city on the north Anhui plain where the province meets Jiangsu and Henan, and its one county, Suixi, distils the well-known Kouzi liquor. The Liuzi Grand Canal Site, an excavated stretch of the Sui–Tang Tongji Canal, is part of the Grand Canal World Heritage Site. In Linhuan, an old town that keeps stretches of its ancient wall, some twenty teahouses brew 'stick tea' from tea stalks and local spring water, a custom said to be over 600 years old.
