About Baoting
Baoting, a Li and Miao autonomous county governed directly by the province, packs two 5A areas into the green hills north of Sanya. Yanoda Rainforest Cultural Tourism Zone is known for wading up forest streams and climbing waterfalls, and Binglanggu Li and Miao Cultural Tourism Zone shows Li brocade weaving, nose-flute music and a staged Li wedding. Qixianling Hot Spring National Forest Park lies beneath seven jagged peaks, and an August water-splashing festival draws on Li and Miao traditions.
