About Ledong
Ledong, a Li autonomous county governed directly by the province, runs from the rainforest of Jianfengling, one of the five reserves in Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park, down to a long south-west coast of farming and fishing towns. It has no big-name attraction; the stops are the broad salt pans of Yinggehai, still worked beside the sea, and Huangliu, a coastal town known for its duck.
What to eat in Ledong
- Huangliu old duck (黄流老鸭)
- Shanlan upland-rice wine (山兰酒)
