About Qitaihe
Qitaihe is one of Heilongjiang's smallest cities, a coal-mining town in the southern Wanda Mountains that has made its name another way: since the 1970s its skating clubs have trained short-track champions, among them the four-time Olympic gold medallist Wang Meng, a Qitaihe native. Sights are few. Near Boli, the Wusihun River National Forest Park offers forest streams and old pines for walks.
