About Qianjiang
Qianjiang is a flat, lake-dotted city on the Jianghan Plain, governed directly by the province, that grew with the Jianghan Oilfield beneath its fields. It is best known across China for crayfish, cooked in spicy heaps and celebrated as the city's signature industry. The Longwan site park shows the excavated base of a Chu royal palace terrace of the Eastern Zhou, often identified with the Zhanghua Terrace of the old texts.
