About Suqian

Suqian, in the north of Jiangsu between Luoma Lake and Hongze Lake, is the traditional birthplace of Xiang Yu, the Chu warlord who fought Liu Bang for the empire after the fall of Qin, and a park on the site presents his life. In the shallows of Hongze Lake at Sihong, boats thread through reed channels full of waterbirds, and the towns of Yanghe and Shuanggou are known for their strong baijiu.
