About Zhenfeng Pagoda

A seven-storey octagonal brick pagoda in the grounds of Yingjiang Temple on the Yangtze riverfront in Anqing, built in the late Ming dynasty around 1570. Standing at a bend of the river, it once served as a beacon for boats, and its storeys are set with hundreds of small brick-carved Buddha images. The temple around it is an active Chan (Zen) Buddhist monastery.
