About Lingyan Temple
A Buddhist temple in a valley on the north-western edge of the Mount Tai range, counted among China's four famous temples. Its Hall of a Thousand Buddhas holds 40 painted clay arhat figures, 32 of them of Song date and 8 Ming, and the 11th-century Pizhi Pagoda rises about 55 m. The Stupa Forest of 167 memorial stupas, some from the Tang, completes a visit.
