About Ezhou Guanyin Pavilion
A small Buddhist–Daoist temple built on a rock reef in the Yangtze at Longpanji, first built in its present form in 1345 and rebuilt several times since. Its three halls, which include shrines to Guanyin and Laozi, a two-storey pavilion and a lookout pavilion stand on a stone platform in the river, the whole complex being about 30 m long and 24 m high, and at summer high water the river rises around the base. A small park was laid out around it in 2007.
