About Phoenix Mountain, Fengcheng

Phoenix Mountain is a rocky mountain area south-east of Fengcheng, divided into West Mountain, East Mountain and Ancient City sections, with cliff-side boardwalks, a glass-floored walkway, a glass suspension bridge and several temples. The Ancient City section holds the Goguryeo-period Fenghuangshan Mountain City, also called Wugu City, begun in the early fifth century, where stretches of wall and the remains of its gates survive. Several routes run along cliff faces, so it suits confident walkers.
