About Wenyou Terrace, Gaoyou

A group of halls in the north of Gaoyou that began in 976 as a temple to the god of Mount Tai. Its name, 'Terrace of Literary Outings', recalls a gathering in 1084 when Su Dongpo, passing through, met the Gaoyou poet Qin Guan and the scholars Sun Jue and Wang Gong here to drink and talk about literature.
