About Former Site of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions
Built in the late Qing or early Republican years as the Huizhou Guild Hall, this building housed the All-China Federation of Trade Unions from 1925 to 1927, when union leaders including Liu Shaoqi, Deng Zhongxia and Su Zhaozheng worked here. The Kuomintang leader Liao Zhongkai was assassinated here in August 1925, and a memorial stele stands in front. Restored as a memorial museum and reopened in 1985, it is a branch of the Guangdong Museum of Revolutionary History.
