About Wenlan Pavilion
One of the seven imperial libraries built to hold the Qianlong Emperor's great manuscript collection, the Siku Quanshu, completed in 1783 and the only one of the three southern libraries still standing. Rebuilt in 1880 after the Taiping war, it is a small walled garden with a rockery, a pond with a tall standing stone and the two-storey library hall, now part of the Gushan branch of the Zhejiang Provincial Museum.
