About Zhongshan Bridge

Lanzhou's best-known landmark, a steel truss bridge across the Yellow River completed in 1909 by a German firm as the first permanent bridge over the river at Lanzhou, replacing a pontoon bridge on the same crossing. Renamed in 1928 in honour of Sun Yat-sen, it gained its arched upper trusses when it was strengthened in 1954 and has been open only to pedestrians since 2004. From the deck there are views along the river and up to Baita Mountain on the north bank.

How to get to Zhongshan Bridge
