About Former Residence of Wang Xizhi and Xiyanchi Tombs, Linyi

A small classical-style garden in central Linyi commemorating the calligrapher Wang Xizhi, whom the city counts among its natives. The Inkstone-Washing Pool (Xiyanchi), the Book-Airing Terrace, the Goose Pond and a pavilion sit beside newer calligraphy galleries and a stele corridor, and the park is a provincially protected site (Wang Xizhi's Hometown Site, 2006). Two brick tombs of the late Western Jin or early Eastern Jin period, found in the park's north-east corner in 2003 and now on the national list as the Xiyanchi tombs, are shown in an underground museum.
