About Linyi

Linyi, one of Shandong's largest cities by area, spreads over the Yimeng hills, where Mount Meng (Yimengshan) Scenic Area and the Firefly Water Cave and Underground Grand Canyon are both 5A sights. The calligrapher Wang Xizhi was born here in ancient Langya, and his former residence stands in the city; bamboo slips of Sun Tzu's Art of War were found in tombs at Yinqueshan in 1972. Wholesale markets drive the economy, and Tancheng is known as a home of ginkgo.
