About Nanming Mountain Cliff Inscriptions

Fifty-eight inscriptions carved on the rocks of Nanming Mountain, now a park on the southern edge of Lishui city, grouped at the Stone Beam, Gaoyang Cave and Yunge Cliff. They range from the Jin dynasty to the Republic and include a note by the prefect Guan Jinghui dated 1093, a record left by the scientist Shen Kuo on his tour of Zhejiang's farm irrigation, and two large characters attributed to the Taoist Ge Hong.
