About Dongjiguan Mountain

Dongjiguan ('East Cockscomb') Mountain, on the north-eastern edge of Lüshun, was a main battlefield of the Russo-Japanese War of 1904–05, when Japanese forces took the Russian fort on its north side in December 1904. The scenic area keeps the East Cockscomb North Fort, Erlongshan Fort and the Wangtai Battery, which the provincial tourism department calls an open-air history museum. Visitors walk through the preserved fortifications.
