About Wugong Shan Scenic Area (Luxi side)
The Pingxiang (Luxi county) side of the Wugong Shan range is a national 5A area on a granite ridge that rises to Baihe Peak (Jinding), the range's highest point at 1,918 m. The upper slopes are covered by wide alpine meadows, and walkers come for the sunrise and sea of cloud at the top, with cable cars and shuttle buses easing the climb and a sacrificial site beside the summit protected as a provincial relic. A small geology museum in the basement of the visitor centre explains the range, which became a UNESCO Global Geopark in 2024.

The visitor centre is about 19 km south-south-east of Luxi town and about 30 km east-south-east of Pingxiang; the classic climb starts at Shenzi village, and cable cars run up to the ridge.
