About General Post Office Building
The General Post Office (Correios) on Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, beside Senado Square, was built in 1925–29 to a neoclassical design by the Chinese architect Chan Kun Pui, on the site of the Tung Sin Tong charity's premises. The three-storey building has a bell tower that chimes the time with music. It is still a working post office, where visitors can buy stamps and postcards.
