About Lin Fong Temple

One of the three oldest temples in Macau, with a spacious forecourt shaded by banyan trees, two stone flagpoles, stone lions at the entrance and a richly worked façade of clay relief. Halls in parallel bays honour Tin Hau, Kun Iam, Kuan Tai and other deities, and a courtyard has a lotus pond and an iron brazier. Chinese officials from Guangdong stayed here when they visited Macau, the imperial commissioner Lin Zexu met Portuguese officials here in 1839, and a memorial stone records the temple's construction in 1723.
