About Lin Kai Temple
A Chinese temple (Templo de Lin Kai) in the Patane district, built in 1830 and rebuilt and enlarged between 1875 and 1908, which is why it is also called the New Lin Kai Temple. Its nine halls are dedicated to 15 deities; the main hall honours Va Kuong, the god who protects against fire, and other halls hold Kun Iam, Kuan Tai, goddesses of childbirth and the Monkey God. The façade has granite carvings and large lion statues on the roof, and the temple's festival for Va Kuong falls on the 28th day of the ninth lunar month.
