About Taipa Municipal Garden

A formal garden in European style on the hillside between Our Lady of Carmel Church and the Taipa Houses–Museum (Jardim Municipal da Taipa), completed in 1924. It has a vine-covered gazebo with fountains and stone benches, well-kept flower beds and paths winding up to a small belvedere. A zigzag walkway with low scalloped walls leads down to the old seafront.
