About Wutai Temple, Midu
A temple complex in Dasi village, Juli, in south-eastern Midu County, founded in the Ming dynasty and repaired and extended under the Qing and in the early Republic. Its 'three pavilions and five halls', among them a Guanyin pavilion, a Buddha hall, a hall for Laozi and a Confucius hall, show Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism worshipped side by side, and most of the main buildings keep their original structure. Each year on the 15th day of the second lunar month it hosts the Wutaishan antiphonal singing fair.
