About Putong Pagoda

A Ming-dynasty pagoda in the rebuilt Putong Temple on the western side of Nangong, added to the national heritage list in 2013. Local tradition dates the temple to AD 67, a year before Luoyang's White Horse Temple, but the original temple has gone and the present one is a modern reconstruction. It is a small stop for pagoda enthusiasts rather than a major sight.

How to get to Putong Pagoda

In Nangong city, about 3.5 km west-north-west of the city centre, so a short taxi ride from the centre.
