About Anyuan Miners' Strike Memorial Hall
A museum on the slope of Niuxingling in Anyuan, the old coal-mining quarter of Pingxiang, housed in a building opened in 1969 that replaced a first exhibition set up in the former workers' club in 1956. Its displays follow the labour movement at the Anyuan collieries and on the Zhuzhou–Pingxiang railway between 1921 and 1930, centred on the miners' and railway workers' strike of September 1922, with large sculpture groups in the halls. The museum also runs the original sites nearby, among them the club, the former colliery office and the mine portal, which have their own entries on this map.
